I used to go here when I was a kid, in the 60's! Used to walk down from Bridge St. on a nice Summer evening! Great memories!!
Got here a few min before lobby closed with lots of people in lobby. Ran to the door to lean inside before unbuckling my kids age 2 and 4. "Hey you guys still open?" Got a yup. Went back and got the kids out. 6:04 we walk in, and I get sir these people are the last to be served we are closed. If you guys want to close to lobby lock the doors... I have two heart broken kids wondering what they did wrong to not be served. Crushing. Disappointed really. I mean I would have told them you were closed but you get them pretty pumped when they walk in the "ice cream store" funny I came here with a gift card from work, not a regular customer and I don't plan on being one. Prob not a huge hit to bottom line. But if you have a heart pretty sad story.
Hard to go wrong at DQ! Friendly, hard working staff serving fresh hot food and cool treats 😁
I usually love this place but I was disappointed today. Was waiting for 10 minutes only to get a sloppily thrown together burger and was missing a blizzard. The blizzard that was provided was not mixed properly and everything was at the bottom.
My husband and I went to the Dairy Queen in Westbrook on Main st today. There were no customers in the restaurant. The manager and a service person were at a register. They stood there talking to each other and totally ignored us for several minutes. Finally I asked if they were opened. The manager said "yes, keep talking" so I gave my order in disbelief. The manager finally left and the service person brought out our sandwiches and was nice. It was a little to little to late for me. The food was good and very hot. The store was clean. The only problem is I do not like to be ignored. When you have a customer in front of you, best practices, take their order you can give your staff I instructions after customer is taken care of. I worked in the service I dusty all my life, now retired, I do not understand what has happened customer service. ,
Yep. Perfect place for that Rx of chocolate when you're levels are running low. That's right...I heard it's actually great for anxiety, and the calcium helps my bones, so I went to the "DQ Quick Care" for my meds! Seriously though, the staff is always great when I do get to stop by, and my dog loves the treats they give.
It was pretty good. I generally don't eat dinner there, but the chicken basket was actually pretty good... the toast was weird and forced and didnt seem like it fit with the purpose of the basket. The ice cream is astonishing, and is really what you go there for, but one must not judge only the best parts.
We ordered 4 small blizzards and they got our order right. No complaints here.
